Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) is available to alleviate an immediate financial crisis to ensure that basic human needs are met in these areas:
Individuals may self-refer or may be referred by another agency for assistance. Catholic Charities assesses each request and situation individually through a thorough intake process. Income and eligibility guidelines are flexible to allow services to be tailored to effectively meet the individual need. Contacts are kept in the strictest confidence to promote and defend the dignity of all clients.
For income eligible households, Catholic Charities can assist people to enroll in and access utility company Customer Assistance Programs (CAP). Our Emergency Financial Assistance program works collaboratively with other health and human service agencies throughout our eight-county region to respond to disasters and other local needs as they arise.
